Transformation, modification and combination. She turns old into new. She uses exaggeration of size to emphasize the goldfish.
THEME
What is your conception of the fantasy and real? Fantasy is . . .
The conception of fantasy and reality varies upon each individual’s views. Fantasy is usually seen as surreal and improbable. My conception of fantasy is something that I view as unachievable.
What has most influenced your conception of fantasy?
My conception of fantasy has changed with age and time. My upbringing, family, life-style, exposure, and area of the world I was raised all influenced my conception of fantasy.
What is your Technical Strategy that you can use to convince the viewers that the world (and the people) there is fantasy?
I think I would use many technical strategies to convince viewers that there is fantasy, such as: make-believe, representation, staging, realism, repetition, and transformation.
What is your Conceptual Strategy for converting fantasy into the real?
I think I would use both transformation and opposition to convert fantasy into the real.

1. According to Marshall, what does she mean by “thinking outside of the box”? “Thinking outside of the box” is a metaphor that means . . . .
Marshall uses a classroom project to enhance the creative process. She implements a ten step system to elaborate on Wallas’ four stage system. The ten steps allowed students to add to their current artistic ideas and enhance them. While the project was teacher-led, it encouraged the students to expand their artistic creativity. These steps encouraged the students to "think outside of the box".
2. List three ways to think outside of the box.
- Thinking in new, creative ways
- Thinking differently than others
- Forming new ideas from old concepts

CREATIVITY Q & A
August 29, 2014
1. Define Creativity:
The definition of creativity can be different to different
people. To me, creativity is using art and/or imagination to seek unique
and/or individualized outcomes.
2. What does it take to be creative?
It takes an open mind and a willingness to seek options that are "outside of the box" or norm to be creative. There is no specific way that a person must behave or "be" in order to possess true creativity.
3. Am I creative?
I am creative in many ways. I enjoy envisioning different styles of art and making them my own. I am not creative in the sense that I draw well or can tell a great story. I am creative because I am a unique thinker and can put my ideas into action.
